I have thoroughly followed her steps to genuinely suspect Jacqueline, and finally she did it.I like her way of investigation.kinda inspiring truth.On the contrary, I need to wait extra pages to fully know the murderer.I guess it can be minimized by some pages.Moreover old English is encountered to be used.It needs some more simplicity so as to reach for non-native speakers,i.e,for those English is their secondary language.
Her plot and conflict are as usual impressive,timely,hot.

As I said before I have very good experience with this laptop, I liked its all features, This model is available in Red, Green, Blue, Pink and black colors, now a days there is facility is to change color with different attractive designs and for that you need to pay some extra money. Its touch pad is very smooth and easy handling. about keyboard its buttons are smooth, then in case of battery-In case of fully charged battery it is working for continuous 3 hrs. finishing of laptop is good that why its look is very attractive. web cam is of 1.3mp. Dell site is also good and informative, They are giving all necessary information plus there is option of configuring laptop according to your own requirement. I have installed many softwares and games on this laptop and it is supporting upto mid-range games very well... I bought this laptop at Rs. 32,000 and its current price is Rs. 30,000...
still there are some drawbacks...

Cons:
1.Dell customer service is not that much good, They are solving your problem very well during warranty
period but after that if you got any problem then they are not giving good response for service and for that you have to force them to do it as soon as possible.
2.Sound quality- Sound quality of this laptop is not that much good if we compared it to other laptops
3.Web cam-picture quality is not good
4.Keyboard-As I said earlier its keyboard buttons are smooth and easy to handle but its keyboard got damaged earlier.

Conclusion:
I perfectly recommend this laptop for those who have budget of Rs. 30,000...

Most of us think that rifle-shooting is a simple, straightforward sport: just aim your rifle at the target, stand as still as possible, hold your breath and pull the trigger. In fact, it?s so simple it shouldn?t even be called a sport, right?

Boy, aren?t we wrong! This book provides the reader a great insight into this sport and into the mind of a champion from the best perspective possible: that of the shooter himself.

Reading this book has led me to really respect and admire this truly incredible sportsman. And I?m sure you will too. To begin with, the bull?s eye on the target is only 0.5mm in size and the shooter has to stand at a distance of 10 metres!! That tells you what a task a shooter is up against.

Bindra describes how he got interested in this sport and recounts the events and incidents that took place over the years. He reveals the great lengths he went to to improve his performances and his consistency. He talks about the heartbreaking setbacks he suffered and how he dealt with them. He revisits the different types of training he underwent in different countries. In short, shooting was literally an obsession with him; the word obsession mentioned in the title of the book is not an exaggeration.

I strongly recommend this book; it shows you what perseverence, dedication, resilience, sacrifice and the pursuit of excellence really mean.

Mahabharata story through the eyes of Bhimsen is Randamoozham, an epic novel written by legendry writer, MT Vasudevan Nair who has won the greatest award for literature in India, the Jnanpith for the year 1997. The novel is written in malayalam, but it has translated version in English, titled Second Turn and an online version titled Bhimsen.

Mahabharata is an ocean which you can find a different sea depending on where you enter.   MT Vasudevan Nair found a perspective to read Bharata and guides his readers to that perspective. Bhim have been a shado

His character and talents was indeed better than both.   The writer doesn?t attempt to make a new Super Hero out of Bhimsen but tries to his perspective of things bringing him closer to our hearts, a unique and difficult task for any writer.

Krishn and Arjuna are the heroes of popular Mahabharata.   In Randamoozham it is a different story.   Krishna is no more the hero but a local king who failed to revenge Jharasandan and uses Bhim to make the revenge.   Bhima who has killed all of the Kauravas and the glory was all given to Arjuna. Reason? Arujun is brother in law to Krishn.   Arjun is known only the fight with arrows where Bhim knows the arrows wrestling and much more.   In MTVs Randamoozham it shows how Bhim been sidelined all along, from the days of education. The insult continued to the next generation as well. When Abhimanyu falls the entire camp was sorrowful and all the preaching of Gita could not console the pain. When Gadodgaja falls no equal pain was displayed. Even Krishna was saying, ?it is good that he has fallen otherwise we would have had to deal with him later?.   The author mock at Krishna?s siding with both sides, saying India?s non-alignment movement starts from there!   Yudishtara gets many a stone from the author even more than of Arjun. Coward, Selfish and lot more qualities help to make this image for Yudishtara.

The novel throws an arrow or two to the leading ladies of Bharata. Kunthi and Draupadi!   We can see their bias to Arjun in each and every action.   Draupadi who sparked the fire of war were imagined as a lady who always happy to hear and see fights which give tremendous pleasure to her. Kunthi on the other hand had every opportunity to end this spark with mature intervention but she added fuel to the spark which killed virtually all the boys in the next generation of Pandavas and made a country of widows.

The book is special, in fact more than special. You will not find a Krishna who sent roles and roles of designed sarees to Draupadi.   Instead the intervention of Vikarna and the opinion of the wise saves the show after the initial damage is been done.   You will see Kunthi going to the jungle with Dridarashtra, Gandhari and Vidhura and the author deduce that Vidhura must be the father of Yudishtara, otherwise why Kunthi had to go to the jungle where her sons were in power and she could have been the maharani, a position she dreamed all along? The author quotes from original Bharata for his assumption that Vidhura indeed is the father of Yudhishtara which was in fact a revelation to me, I have to admit.

The pace of story telling is fast. In fact very fast!   In the process however the writer never misses any events which touch the protagonist?s ego.   Another focus by the author was to tell some hard truth to the world which they believe as truth, thanks to the fancy popular stories.   Here we have to applaud the author?s authority attained by research and the courage he shows to call the spade a spade. Since there is a religious aspect as well for the epic the responsibility was huge and the author takes it with utmost maturity.   Selection of words and sentences to express emotions, thoughts and dialogues are sharp and it carries many a dimensions in each pose.   It works big time!

The author however seems little confused about the characterisation of Karn. One side the author wants to show an annoying Karn where on the other, a talented Karn who deserve sympathy.   The character karn fall flats because of this confusion by the author.

There is no doubt that the novel is a classic and it is excellent.   Then, if I compare Mrityunjay by Shivaji Sawant to Randamoozham, I think Shivaji scores some fine points for he gave out a lot of attention to the detailed thought process of Karn and many a thought for life in each turning page. MTV however restricted this analysis and do not give any advices but focused on the story telling.   That explains why I become a Karn fan soon after reading Mrityunjay and not a Bhim fan after reading Randamoozham.   Here one point needs special attention; i.e. the author didn?t try to make an out of the world character in the novel. He tried to be realistic as possible. That makes the best plus of the novel - i.e. it presents a Bhimsen who is one among us than an out of the world character.   Bhim is winning the fights not simply by his physical strength but also by his efficient use of brain.

No doubt, Randamoozham (Second Turn / Bhimsen) is a very good read for all those who wish to see a different perspective about Bharata. Are you ready to enter this Bhim sea? You are welcome!

The book which was first published in 1984 is still a leading seller in bookstalls and online.    The novel probably will be filmed in the year 2012 where Mohanlal is said to be playing the lead role of Bhimsen. Talks are that Mammootty will be playing the role of Karn and Kamal Hassan as that of Duryodana and no doubt it will be one of the blockbusters of Malayalam.   While waiting for the story to seen in silver screen I urge you to read the novel if you get a chance to as it take many a years to write such a classic novel and we can reap the fruit of it by spending couple of hours!

This is a book that touches any heart and could be correlated with out own life. Every line and every word written is so full of emotions,meaning,feel and touching that couldn?t be missed. It is something which would leave behind an impact making you realise how to have a relationship,not to have distances because you never know when god may call off and you will become a lonely part of your own life!!! Its been 7 days since I?ve read the book and still when i think about Khushi and Ravin?s relationship, How things were satin smooth and how suddenly it became a rugged desert, I burst into tears,even now my eyes are moist!! It carries a great message!!! All I wished was that It was not a true love story and that it could be undone by making khushi alive!!! To make her fulfil all her dreams of living with Ravin and spending her life with him!!! I jus scolded God for departing them coz if this had to happen he didn?t have to make them fall in love!!! Its a book worth reading and my hearty condolenses to him! but 1 thing is for sure->Khushi is always with him!! I Read this book quite long before so remember only three names Ish,Gopi n Omi(Characters in this book)
The reason to start this book was “Chetan Bhagat” and this was his third book. I liked the name of this book but i don’t like the colour of it, anyway book cover was not that bad. After hearing lot of mixed reviews i read this book and i want to say something about it
The book deals with Cricket-Religion-Business all are my favourite topics so started this book with little expectation.
The story starts with an email received by CB and moves on to a flashback. The story was played in Ahmedabad.The flashback tells a story of three friends who planning to start a business and chooses sports store. Of the three one is interested in cricket and another one in maths, business and the third one was quite religious. The story moves on with these three friends with some twists, Love, tragedy and a success. I don’t want to get into the story as u know while reading.Chetan used the Gujarat riot which creates fatal circumstances in the story.
The way CB described the business was realistic and acceptable.

No complex things in the story so that you will easily understand
Price J (As u all know CB books are just 95)

Story was quite predictable
Conclusion
Don’t take the minus seriously you will enjoy reading. Read this book without expectation and you will like it, I hope. You can give it a try!

We Are Family is a good looking film that emotionally tugs at your heart strings from start to finish. It is a simple story (official adaptation of Hollywood film Step Mom) which is raised many notches higher by superlative performances by the entire star cast. Karan Johar is doing a big service to Bollywood by introducing fresh talented directors like Siddharth Malhotra who makes a confident, assured debut.

We have had several Hindi films over the years that have delved into Man-Woman and the Other-Woman space. In many ways, you can predict the story of We Are Family if you are a Hindi movie buff. But the treatment is such that it keeps you glued to the screen. And yes, don?t forget to carry loads of tissues. You?ll need it. I cried while watching a movie after a LONG time. By the end of the film, all you wish to do is to realise how fortunate you are to have a wonderful family and that your near-n-dear ones are all around you.

As almost all of Karan Johar films, WAF is based in an urban setting where affluence seems like a given reality. Language spoken in the film is sophisticated Hinglish. Nothing wrong with that. It is a context and one should respect that. Aman (Arjun Rampal) is a fashion photographer who has parted ways with his wife Maya (Kajol). They have three precocious kids and Aman has a girlfriend Shriya (Kareena Kapoor) who is unable to find acceptance in his family. And then the kahani-mein-twist and what happens ...ever after.

As I?ve mentioned earlier, the performances are spectacular. Kajol is such an amazing performer that each time you feel she delivered her career best performance, she comes up with something even better. One sentiment that stoically makes a home in your heart after watching her act in this film is ....RESPECT. Watch her childishly (and at other times sternly) interact with the three kids. Moments of jealousy towards Kareena even though she got her in the house to ease up her own life. Subdued confrontations with Arjun without going over the top. And the best one is when she smashes kitchen utensils fighting with her own destiny. Wow!

Kareena Kapoor is outstanding in the film. There?s a vulnerable innocence in her performance which is very likable. Her styling is chic-n-comfy. The best part about her performance is that she doesn?t try to outshine Kajol. She remains herself and emerges victorious. Her scenes with the three kids are poignant, funny and very endearing. Some of the confrontation scenes with Kajol are laced with heightened drama. Very engaging stuff.

Arjun Rampal delivers an unbelievably restrained performance. This actor is going from strength to strength. He realises his limitations that he is not a star who can bring in people in the theaters entirely on his own esteem. But the manner in which he immerses in this character and brings in this realism of Experience in his portrayal is very impressive. The manner in which he juggles between the ?ladies in the house? is quite a treat to watch.

The three kids are Special. Anjali (Diya Sonecha) is adorably cute. She has some of the best lines in the film. D matlab ?Dayan? is quite a rage. Her innocence in several emotional scenes literally pierces daggers through your heart. Ankush (Nominath Ginsberg) is a find. He is cute, cuddly and funny. Aleya (Anchal Munjal) plays the confused and rebellious teenager to perfection.

Niranjan Iyengar?s dialogues are simple and sincere. Several nuances of the complexities of relationships are brought out lucidly. Shankar Ehsan Loy?s music is not their best music score. But Rehem-O-Karam comes in strategic points in the film and has the desired effect. The version of Jail House Rock is made into a memorable watch primarily because of the super fun that Kajol and Kareena have while dancing to it. I loved Kajol?s no-holds-barred dancing. A treat!

Mohanan?s cinematography is top notch. Deepa Bhatia?s editing is crisp. But the second half stretches a bit and there seems to be continuity jerks at times. Raju Singh?s background score adds a lot of emotion to the entire narrative. Siddharth Malhotra keeps you interested in his film throughout by knowing when to pull which string like an expert puppeteer. Yes, several scenes are conveniently filmy. But then, when you enter a cine hall, you are in for some drama and make believe. We Are Family makes for compelling viewing with your family. It is a film that will have a very good word-of-mouth.

We Are Family: A gulp-in-the-throat experience. Don?t miss it!

This is a wonderful TV and ideal for those looking for a TV-PC Monitor dual use.
It is full 1080p HD so you can view your games and movies in their utmost quality (depending on their output) and that extra inch above the standard 22" really makes the difference. Having said that, it can be a little too much for a PC gamer unless they?ve got the right desk layout for such a large screen. And on the subject of gaming, the TV has a 5ms response time, great for everything except games, but it might be noticeable to the more hardcore gamers who have everything maxed out, but no real reason to turn your head at this TV.
It has a great contrast and resolution of 1000:1 and 1920 x 1080 respectively. Plus the viewing angle on this is 170 degrees which is all the degree you?ll need!
As it is expected to double as a PC monitor you?ll find this a very compatible device, it even comes with a VGA cable so you can easily hook up your PC / Laptop to it and watch videos / play games straight away.
The only down side is the sound, its not got much oomph to it but you can never expect sterling sound from the inbuilt speaker in a TV - monitor, you?re expected to have some decent audio equipment if you?re mildly serious about entertainment.
Apart from that, its a beautiful looking TV, very simple and elegant and I love the red lip on the bottom. It?s LG so you know its going to be simple and reliable which it really is.
Absolutely recommend this beyond any other TV in the price range its just lovely.

The heart of this laptop is the Satelite L640D graphics card. Everything else is basically secondary.
The Toshiba Satellite L640D is the entry price point for the truly capable PCI-ex laptopgraphics cards (the next step up being the ATI HD 5730 or the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M) and when coupled with the i3 CPU is the best youre going to get for gaming without spending a grand, or more.
MW2 very playable at high (not ultra) expect average frame rates to rarely drop below 35.
L4D2, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2 all run smoothly.
Even the still consulted Crysis benchmark passes (on medium), the bottleneck here is identified as the processor not the ATI 5650. Perhaps a core i5 would give better results, and this model is available, but I dont feel its worth the extra money for a small gain in fps.
Build quality is fine. Keyboard responsive, screen clear. Plenty of connectivity, including a very useful HDMI port. eSATA, DVD burner, N draft wireless, all the usual bells and whistles you would expect.
However all this is basically beside the point. If you are buying a Toshiba Satellite L640 in this particular configuration you are buying it for the graphics card. In that respect this is close to the perfect games machine. Good screen, doesnt get too hot in extended sessions, responsive well built keyboard but above all the ATI HD 5650.

I contacted dell india office for purchasing a Dell studio laptop. I was routed to sales person of dell. Placed an order with him for Dell Studio 1558 laptop. Invoice and quotation are in my name. Got the system delivered at my address in Bangalore. There is no EBP or employee reduction claimed in the process. On 26th July 2010 got blue screen in system. Called up Dell tech support, they tried to format the system remotely but then also same problem of blue screen persisted. Technical support person asked me to give the system to Authorised service center located in Divyasree greens in Bangalore . Gave the laptop to Authorised service center in Bangalore on 29-July-2010. No response or even a call from them till Saturday 31-July-2010. Called the service center they were telling parts have not yet arrived for the laptop. Wrote a mail to technical support, one guy called up from Dell Technical support Chennai and said that parts have been shipped to Bangalore . But no response from dell service center Bangalore after that. Called them up and followed with them. Service center guys were telling after replacing RAM, Hard disk and Motherboard still same blue screen problem persisted. They wanted to replace processor and check it. In this point I told dell service center guys that all major components in the system has been replaced and I want the entire laptop to be replaced. Service center people asked me to call up dell customer support and raise a request for laptop replacement. Called up Dell customer support and got connected to System replacement team. Team said the laptop is not bought in my name and is in some Dell employees name( which I don’t understand how it happened or where the confusion is and from where Dell system replacement team got the invoice details. I would like someone from Dell to clarify this. Where is the confusion, on whose name laptop is bought?). Because of this issue system cannot be replaced. Dell service center guys called me up at this time and said they have raised a request for system replacement from their end. Mean while I had sent a mail to chennai DELL technical support from dell and asked him when I will get the system. Dell Technical support chennai called me up and said that system replacement will not be possible because of following two reasons Reason 1:. system was not bought in my name it was bought in some dell emplyees name (which is not correct there is no EBP or employee reduction claimed in the process.) Reason 2: System replacement can be done only within a month of purchase of laptop and warranty only covers that. Other wise replacement can be done only if major components of laptop like Mother board, Hard disk, LCD Monitor or processor are replaced. But in my case only Mother board and hard disk come under this category not RAM. So replacement will not be possible.

Meanwhile Dell technical support chennai confreneced us with Dell service center Bangalore and the service center guys were telling they have raised a request for system replacement. After hearing this Dell technical support chennai was telling if service center is giving replacement he has nothing to do with that.
Wrote a long mail to dell customer service asking following questions. In whose name the laptop is bought? - Why dell is not sharing data of customers within its internal departments??
Whether this comes under the one year warranty or not?
Whether my laptop will be replaced or not? If no please let me know the reason.
Who is the correct person who would update me about the progress of the system replacement ( if its being done).
Why is the responsible person who I could talk with?
Why people within dell are not coordinating among themselves and talking in a single voice to the customer each one is saying something and confusing me someone named Jacob called me up and apologized for the confusion he confirmed the laptop has been bought in my name and replacement request is in progress.
After submiting my laptop got a mail from jacob saying that will be getting my laptop within Sep 3rd.
Waiting for it will update once i get it. so though the cost of dell is some 3k to 4k less than others. their after sales service is pathetic.
Felt I have made a wrong choice of selecting dell, DELL is HELL.

I got my Dell Studio 14 about August 2009 and must say since then it has been ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE I got enticed by the looks and I must say I Feel absolutely taken for a ride! Within a month, the notebook developed a display problem and after a lot of head breaking and going through the horrible online support (You got guys with great english accent....absolute duds and they will keep on transfering calls till you are hearing their hold decieving reassuring messages and then you find your problem is not even understood? and then they promised to send a service engineer. Mind you service engineers are outsourced and absolutely screwdriver duds picked from the street. The guy who came in did not havea clue about how to dismantle the system and I saw my new system being devoured by this guys who after replacing the display landed up breaking the bezel and then discovered he had extra screws which he did not know what to do with! It worked for a while and then the system malfunctioning suddenly switching off, display going off etc. I had to start chasing the dell support nightmare again! And after close to month losing sleep over my work due to my notebook, Dell guys decided they will replace my system and that took them 3 months. I got my new system (minus the memory upgrade for all the hassle I went through, which of course never came!) After getting the new system I was atleast hoping to put all the past back as me being unlucky and start afresh but the new system starting giving trouble within a month again and this time theproblems were many -the battery would not last even 2 hours(mind you I had gone for an extended battery that was promised to give 4 hours),system heated up within an hour that I could hardly keep my hand on the palmrest, data cards will not work on left USB, keyboard gave problems, the operating system started misbehaving with sudden shutdowns. And this time my Nightmare with Dell service was more frustrating! During my last experience after months of escalations once senior guy apparently a manager spoke so sweetly and promised me after replacement, if I ever had a problem I just need to tell him and he would take care, Trusting his words I wrote to hm in detail, after two mails he simply sent me a cryptic reply ...contact dell tech support. After my useless headbreaking to get contact of a escalation contact, country head ( I remember asking for the escalation contact for over 15 mails and it never got replied!) Ultimately I was asked to take my system to Dell service centre, they told me I should surrender my system and would get it back after 4 days till parts came. I tried explaining him that I needed the system and he could always call me after parts came and I will come. I requested to atleast correct the keyboard problem (the keyboard went beserk! If I pressed "y" it would print a series of ?a" and more crazy things like that to the extend I could not login since my password was not recognised! Even I tried convincing him that it appeared to me to be a driver problem, he insisted keyboard had to be replaced (incidentally an onsite guy replaced my keyboard & battery only acoupleof daysbefore). Deciding it was futile, I told him I will come back the next day, and overnight frantically searched through the internet and got a solution for the keyboard problem ( in the process I also realised that there were so many who have bore the burnt of Dell?s poor quality and service, thanks to the good soul who had put up the trick, it was simple and it worked- I was atleast relieved that I was able to login. Then again took my system the next day and he took my system for two days and told they have replaced the heat sink, keyboard & reinstalled the operating system. It is about a fortnight since that my data card still does not get recognised and the system has started heating up again! NEVER AGAIN A DELL IN MY LIFE! Some frustrated soul has very righty put it ?What the ?D?ELL! I have atleast 40 odd mails besides the numerous calls (dont have count!) that are proof enoughthat witness my nightmare with dell. Thanks for mouthshut for this forum atleast provide a channel for affected customers like me to share myexperience help so that atleast others take right decisions with vendors like Dell who take customers for granted, con them with glitz ads & smooth speaking sales guysthatdecietfully reassure of qualityand take them for a ride with their poor quality products atleast in India. I am sure in the US they will behave better else they will get sued. I am hoping to write to the press so that vendors likeDelldont take customer for granted. Hi, I wanted a netbook that was small enough to put into a reasonable sized handbag, but big enough to use on a daily basis, the Acer Aspire 1350 is just that it measures just over 11" in width, and is slim and light enough to make the device portable. It has a 3 GB of memory, which is more than many other netbooks on offer out there, I use it mainly for browsing the web, emailing, shopping and also using Skype, as I find this great for communicating and viewing my friends and family on other shores, also free, so the acer is my best friend. The only down side I have found is that i wanted to get a groovy colour, like the many colours offered by dell, but had to go with the best Gigabytes, as this w
ould give me the better streaming and optimise the performance of my browsing, as if it had been consistently slow, I would be irritated with it and probably not enjoyed using it. So theres only one colour and its Black. I would recommend this to my family and friends to buy, I,m very pleased with it.

I found HCL computer to be totally unreliable and the service is nothing but pathetic. My only one office computer broke down within 3 months of purchase. Since last three weeks we have been calling HCL computer service centre at Kozhikode, Kerala and pleading with them to at least to provide a standby computer while they repair the motherboard but no use. Our office functioning itself is affected. The HCL service is very very poor and apathetic towards the problem faced by the customer. I will never go for HCL again..
They took away its motherboard and SMS to check the problems, refitted and brought back but the problem still persisted. The computer goes off while working.
Some boys and girls were sitting in the service centre; they did not seem to be any computer hardware professionals. We made many many calls to their offices but they just offer to repair it but never do. We even visited their office two three times, but the manager says that the motherboard has been sent to Kochi for servicing and they are waiting for it to return. We requested him to provide a spare motherboard so that our office functioning won?t be affected. They do not have any spare to supply in their office. Their office itself is not equipped to carry out servicing, as I understand.
I will not recommend HCL again to anyone

My old laptop was slow and most likely virus ridden, as I had enrolled on a part time university course, it was important to get a new laptop to inspire and organise me for my studies!

So off I went to the local electrical store and was recommended this Compaq model. I must say I am pleased with this recommendation.

Good points of this laptop:

Large screen that is excellent for watching dvds, looking at power points for study etc.

Excellent memory, I have lots of uni and work related info stored on the computer as well as 8 gb of itunes and lots and lots of photographs.

Easy to use and comes with new windows 7 so completly up to date.

I love this laptop and would reccomend it to anyone, its only downfall would be that its a bit on the heavy side and may not be suitable for people who would have to carry it around for long periods of time.

I have just bought a HP Deskjet printer D4168 due to my printer just packing up on me, well its been going for a while and i have been putting up with it until i could afford a new one and this is the one i bought from Curry?s.

This printer is compatible with Windows 7, Windows XP which is what I have as well as with Windows Vista its easy to set up and comes with a handy instruction booklet which ids easy to follow.
Plug it in, connect the wires and add the disc and it installs the drivers and you just follow the on screen instructions. You have to buy the USB lead seperately, but its available from online at Ebay for a few pounds.
It comes with a black Laserjet cartridge, instr
View next photo uction booklet, paper tray cover and power cord. It prints on paper, does photo?s and prints on envelopes as well as labels, postcards and prints on A4 A5 A6 and B5 which about covers everything you might need to print on.

It holds 250 sheets of paper and feeds the paper in when you have told it how many you want, I use it a lot to do my paperwork and invoices for work. I find it easy to use and the print is good quality, it do a few copies of my books at each time I use it.
It says in the instruction manual that it prints each page by seven seconds, which is about right and it isn?t too noisy either, my old one could be heard downstairs when I was in my office at home and it took a while for each page, this is a lot faster.
Although the price is a bit steep it is worth the money as it is a handy machine for someone like me who is self employed and has to keep accounts, invoices and records of employment for the tax man. It also prints on both sides of the paper, so this saves money and it has an automatic power saver built in.

if your looking to buy then this is a good option, a useful tool which is compatible with lots of computers. It gets an 8 out of ten from me. I also can buy the cartridges from Cartridge World where they are cheaper than normal priced cartridges, thus saving a little more money.
They only come in black so there?s not a choice there, but it is a stylish model. You can also get online support from HP if you have any problems with your printer.

So far Ii have had no problems with mine, it is easy to use, was easy to install and I have printed documents, copied photo?s from my computer which have been very good quality and have used it for my files and invoices for my work at home. All the family use it for their printing and my daughter even emails me files to print off for her, so its a good all rounder.

Hello Friends,

I always regretted for going in to an HCL store as an expert, with my best friend to buy a laptop for her. If you want to break friendship with someone just go and get him/her an HCL laptop, you wont need to say a word after that, everything will go smooth and he/she will never ask you to go with for buying a slipper even.

I realized, it was the biggest mistake of my digital shopping life, specially when I got a Dell XPS soon after that for myself and for other friends. From my school time I was known for being tech savvy and buying anything at cheapest. I assembled a desktop for myself when I was in early grads for the 60% of the market price with the best configs available. I never thought, buying a laptop can harm that much, I still regret for this.

The problems came bundled with that laptop and h/w?s started failing one by one just after the warranty finished. DVD Drive, Bluetooth, touch-pad, keyboard buttons.. etc etc. The laptop was used statically in home mostly as a desktop, still most of the structure broke eventually. The clips on both sides of the screen broke leaving the LCD unstable in fan?s air. Now, the LCD has multiple white horizontal lines and 50% of the keys work somehow, forget about the touch-pad.

Pathetic Support :-

In the meantime I called HCL support and asked for the suggestions to get that repaired, but ended up fighting with their supervisor for their arrogant and unresponsive behavior. The guy on the phone pretended to be my boss and as if I am begging him to get the laptop repaired.

Before that, I once asked updated drivers for Windows Vista, as the original drivers were for XP and they have the same on their web for this model. They said they can not provide that, I thought to leave the idea to call them again. After a few days I got a call on my mobile from a base phone number of Patna (0612), [I was then in Jharkhand when asked for drivers]. He offered me to collect the drivers from Ranchi or Patna, I asked politely if he could send me in a CD. He started in Lalu-voice on me -- "CD ke paise kaun dega, kya hum ghar se bheje". I scolded him as anything after hearing this and asked to give phone to his supervisor, and he said no-one is there and kept the phone. It tensed me a lot, I never used to talk like that to anyone, neither expected this from anyone.

After this, I realized HCL is the cheap, third-class, ghatiya, bekaar, sick and ill-mannered company which needs to be taken down to hell. I love to use the Indian things and think about our country. But, these morons will take your proud to hell and you will regret for your thoughts. HCL sucks a big time.

Anyone, thinking about buying an HCL, be prepared to get the harsh words from HCL (Govt?s High Commission for Laptops, as they thing of themselves) and regret for your rest of the life. I wish I could take legal actions against them, but this not only the waste of time and money but also your confidence, they have a sick department of cheap lawyers to fight with you, they enjoy doing this or maybe they do it for their bread and butter. Just STAY AWAY if you do not want to have those painkiller pills regularly.

The purchase was a rakhi gift for my sister. Firstly i did not receive the order within Estimated Delivery Date of 20/082010 which i was told by the salesperson G. Manjunath to be the maximum delay possible. I recieved no response to my complaint emails. Finally after calling and pestering them for innumerable times the laptop was delivered a day before rakhi. To our utter amazement, the laptop did not even have a sound device in it. The bluetooth in the laptop did not work, and the Office Product Key with the laptop was incorrect. The mail with all these complaints has not been replied to. We called the Call Centre on innumerable occasions to help us but all they do is listen to the problem and put us on hold for eternity so that we finally have to hangup. This purchase has been one of the most bitter experience of my life. The rakhi gift actually caused a fight with my sister and she refuses to speak to me. Would warn you to purchase any product from Dell as their service which made buy the product in the first place actually sucks. I have actually purchased an extended warranty from them with accidental insurance. Now this seems to be the worst purchase ever made by me.

I recently used them again as I had some leftover, so decided to give my avatar an update and bought him some new clothes! I think Microsoft Points are quite expensive but I recently decided it?s not their expense, but the expense of certain things you can buy with them.

It costs 2100 points. There are loads of games you can buy such as indie ones created by the community and other arcade ones. These aren?t normal full games but more arcade style, hence the name. If you do the maths for this price, 1 point equates to 0.79p. Therefore, some of the stuff is quite expensive - you can buy a full call of duty outfit for your avatar for 400 points. This is in my opinion this is a rip off, despite it being a full costume and slightly more popular than others.

I would say a generous price for this is around 500 buks. T Shirts are mostly priced at 80 points, which equates to 63p or so, which isn?t bad but once again, they should cost more around 40p, which is a bit more generous. The reason I say this is because you can spend over on these points and they are gone in no time! An Xbox Original such as Halo: Comabt Evolved costs 1200 points. This is . You can buy this for less than that online and you get a hard copy of the game. With all this stuff saved on your hard drive, it?s quite dangerous if it breaks like mine once did as you will lose it all - all your games, saves. Perhaps if you have Xbox Live, you may be able to recover some stuff through there luckily.

The points can buy a whole range of things but they are quite expensive. I?m not surprised I hear people trying to scam others online to get points off them for example they will say ?I can unlock you this, but you must give me 1600 points?. Some of the stuff is tempting to buy - there are some good arcade games out there, and it?s fun to customsie your avatar. Luckily there are plenty of clothing items you can use on your avatar from default so you aren?t too restricted. The possibility to buy full classic games with these is quite cool, and the ability to buy a movie for the night is exciting too, although you have to wait for it all to download, which can take a while depending on your internet. I?d recommend the points card if there is something you have your eye on, but I still think a lot of the items are quite expensive.

Since I avoid driving in Mumbai traffic whenever possible, this review is a back bencher?s point of view. I?m sure from a driver?s point its much better but for those who don?t drive there are better options available. I usually get this car as an AC taxi from Meru or as a tourist car rental and don?t look forward to sitting in it.
Now that M&M has bought over Renault?s share of the JV, I hope some much needed upgrades are made.
1. Flat & uncomfortable bench seats
These should have been more padded and contoured like the Swift DZire.
2. Stiff rear suspension
Its bone jarring over Mumbai potholes
3. No rear cupholders
These could have been moulded into the doors or put behind the handbrake.
4. No central armrest
This greatly increases the comfort on longer rides [over 30-40 min].
5. No rear headrests
At least in the models that I?ve been in which makes for a whiplash inducing ride. When they are present, 3 have been put so I have to keep removing the middle one to put my arm up for support. They are too big and also block the driver?s rear view. This is like the ?Goldilocks effect? - too many or too few but NEVER just right.
6. Central ?hump?
Why advertise a ?widebody? that?s spacious enough for 3 adults and have a big intrusive transmission tunnel so the middle passenger can never sit comfortabley unless they are a kid. The ground clearance should have been raised by another inch and the hump reduced. This would also help during monsoon / flooded roads.
7. Stupid cost cutting
Some design decisions should simply be banned like they are abroad from a safety perspective. There is only one reverse tail light instead of two [usually on the left side]. When using the indicators, both the arrows light up in the dash so the driver gets useless info - these should blink independently of each other like EVERY other car!
8. Lack of storage
There should be compartments in the doors and under the seats or even the roof since there is plenty of space.
9. Exteriors
I?m not saying that the Logan is THE ugliest car in the market [e.g., the 800 or Omni might be worse] but among sedans its competing hard against the Indigo [the CS has a better looking rear] for this dubious distinction.
10. Door ?handles?
These are mere notches at the back and need to be 1-2 inches longer since they hardly provide any grip for closing the the doors. Calling them ?handles? is like calling the large pond near Nerul a ?mini sea shore?.
Even if these upgrades cost more its totally worth it to make it a far more comfortable ride than it currently is.
The Logan should get options for sunroof, rear reading lights, gas shocks, hollow head rests [like Volvo] and a rear folding sun shade. This will not only boost dealer margins but also cater to private [non-taxi] customers and improve overall satisfaction without increasing the base prices.

My friends ,this is my 10 months own driving experience with tata nano not a base less perception ( like some of my reviewer friends) . I drove many cars like centro , alto, swift ,ritz, i20,punto,Honda jazz , figo etc .all these cars with petrol n diesel engines . ,this is my 3ed additional car
we bought this can in Kanpur ( worst city for infrastructure , worst road in India) in 1st Oct 2009 at on road 1.9 LX ( top end - AC/Heater, Power window,power breaks etc) BS-iii.
I would like to inform you only 6 car has been reported to catch fire as of now ( CNBC Awaaz ) only 3 are genuine case Rest all rumor and part of corporate business conspiracy . Any ways tata’s are working on that by forensic investigation.

Looks: it is very catchy and gr8 road presence and very appealing & got many awards for that in all over the world.

Design : gr8 design for city maneuverability ,gr8 visibility (like figo and Honda Jazz).I drove it hundreds of kilometers in city . it is best complete city car . very airy inside and compact from out side . best height car for me ( I m 6 feet) to get in & out WOW.

Space: in my marriage ceremony event , I drove it with 6 people ( 2 in co- passenger seat) , and 7-8 people can sit in the cabin easily ( just fold the back seat and put one thick cushion & use boot space for 2 people ,so 2+ 3 back side ,+2 in co passenger seat + 1 driver = 5+2+1 =8 people ) already tested with my family members ( I can challenge to any one ) . it is gr8 goods carrier also as I used in my marriage by just folding the back seat .

Performance : city performance is excellent but mileage is near abt 14km/l at bumper to bumper traffic . in highway I tested this car my times between Kanpur to lucknow (23km/l to 31km/l [ with speed limit 45-65 kmh] ) with more that 100 km/h and it was commendable . it has been drove 500 km in a day with AC and 5 people in more than 45 degree centigrade . Performance was gr8888888888. AC is excellent and better than lots of big car. Engine is very powerful . don’t see BHP feel the performance on ground .take your own experience , take test drive and feel it . Excellent engineering by tata .

Service : now a days tata service is very very good . I have 2 tata cars . they changed the parts without any cost. Even coming to home for regular checkups . WOW TATA service.

Some cons and suggestions :
    Fit and finish is very poor and parts are cheap ( good also for maintenance/parts cost)

Tata Indica Xeta

Indica Xeta GVS-2006 DECEMBER model is the version which i own. The first blunder i made with this car was to install the lpg gas kit.The Engine control unit of the car failed miserably and had to go for a complete replacement of the ECU. I Lost 15000+ for ECU as well as 13500+ for gas conversion. Now with all the replacements the car has covered 43000 KMs. Starting as well as driving is still smooth. Service center persons are now asking me to change the clutch plates. They changed nearly 5000 rs worth parts during last service. Total maintenance cost incurred for me for past 3.9 years was around 35000 excluding the cost for gas conversion and subsequent replacements of ECU and its allied equipments. This cost includes servicing charge, oil change, under body coating etc..etc.. Driving comfort is not seen to have much, not good for long drives covering more than 250 kms. Nothing has been replaced from engine side until now. interior lights does not turn on some times when the doors are opened. Gear shifts had been smooth, but some tightness is experiencing now a days. Possibly, may be because of this, the service persons asked for a replacement for clutch plates. It costs more than 5000 as they told. 4 tyres (god year) have been replaced by Apollo amazer XL, another 10000 at 40000 kms. Severe rattling sound comes from here and there. AC is good. Average mileage -13.7 kmpl as on now. overall its a good package. no body in India can give you a car with AC,power steering, and decent performance so cheap. BUT....... If you have a habit of frequently changing cars.........then a big NO. Because it is better to drive this car until you die and let it go with u to the grave!!! Because nobody wants it as a second hand vehicle. I asked a second hand car dealer to take my vehicle and he offered a 1 lakh for a 40000 run, patch free,mint silver, new tires car. I was having a plan to buy a diesel car. I told him bye and decided to live with it. if i could put the exetra amount i have to shed to buy a diesel car in a bank, I could very well find the extra amount for the extra cost of petrol.

Yamaha Gladiator

Hi Friends,

After searching for long time, I decided to buy Yamaha Gladiator. I wanted to buy Pulsar 180 CC but I did not want to go for a loan option, so I decided to go for a 125 cc bike. Previously I had TVS victor (One of the best bike in 100 CC segment), Hero Honda Karizma (Best in its class and I sold it as I was looking for a mielage bike now) and Honda Stunner (I still have it but I will not call it best). The options available were Hero Honda Super Splender 125CC, Passion, TVS Flame, Bajaj Exceed, Discover DTSi 125 and recently launch (at that time) Bajaj Pulsar 135.

After calculating all the pluses and minuses I settled for Yamaha and I got following results after 4 services and 10000 Kms.

Looks: This was the first thing I was looking for and depends entirely on personal openion. I found it nice looking bike in crowd. Every where from from light till tale, Yamaha has done a beautiful job. The only thing I did not like is the side indicators (They are a bit small) but they work normally with no issues at all.

Comfort & Reliability: One of the best bikes in the class. I had to go to agra from Ghaziabad in an emergency situation and my car had some issues so I went on Gladiatorand there were absolutely 0.00 problems in the journey. That day I drove it around 500 Kms. The Comfort Level was amazing and I found it better then my "Honda Stunner". The shock Absorbers are good and you can take it to any road of your choice.

Engine and Fuel Economy: The Engine is smooth and till now no issues. The only thing I do is to take the bike for servicing on time and get the engine oil changed. The noise is normal and no extra sound.

Top Speed: The top speed claimed by Yamaha was 110 KMPH but its actually 105 (full throttle). The bike is smooth till 90 and after that you can feel the engine putting effort to reach 105.

Problems: There are two issues with the bike:

1) The initial pick up of the bike is not exciting. Being a Yamaha bike we expect little more as other bikes have better pick up in same segment.

2) The rear Tyre is Thin. They could have used a better one because at high speeds you may fall if you apply brakes suddenly. In normal conditions braking is fine.

If you can adjust with these two problems, Go for it. Its a really good bike.

I bought this vehicle on July 2010 from Hyundai Motor Plaza , New delhi
The dealer forwarded me heavy discounts.
After few days of ownership ,I realized the discounts are just an eyewash. Hyundai has removed some of the feature which are considered as standard ( or previously available with the same models) and pushing the vehicle through discounts.
I have i10 magna 1.2 : some of the missing features which I Noticed :
1. Missing Intermitted operation of the Wipers - available earlier
2. Windshield washer - you have to first operate the spray then manually operate the wipers to clean the screen. (In even maruti 800 offers this auto Windshield washers in which we don?t have operate wipers manually after spraying the screen)
3. Missing Back-Seat Head rest
4. Missing Defroster

These are some of the Cosmetic feature which I have noticed. But in the name of maximizing the profits they might have compromised with the engine and safety (like well known problem with the Steering ).

Also faced problem with the Steering.

i purchased Marithi wagonr on 1st jan 2010, till that day i am driving this car almost 13000 km already ride.
i found this car very usefull because of its space available inside secondly the passenger in the rear seat also have a good view of the road because of the little elevated back seat. the more attaction i found is the folding of back seat make a comfortable platform a in the back, like if you are planning for a long drive you can put a bed over there and have a comfortable sleep (this might not be possible if you have CNG fitted.).
some says the look is not very good but i found it very good looking especially if its a WHITE color.

well i bought this flemenco red fiat linea n december last year.i have driven 19000 kms all along western india from mumbai to chandigarh thrice....its a wonder car as far as value for money is concerned..extremely stable,sturdy body,excellent braking system and smooth handling. the under power issue is not of much consequence to a normal person who is looking for a complete package deal. the dealership network is picking up and a bit of a hassle wid over worked tata network providing after sales services. but the response of fiat team is encouraging and prompt incase u report any mattter to them.i havent had any hassles n d last 9 months wid the car interms of performance. on the highway it cud even give u an average of 16.5 kmpl wid AC on. in city 12 kmpl is sure after second service. AC performance above 40 degrees is average. cabin comfort and noise insulation is wonderful.perfect for highways nd long journeys.music system is gud but d noise cracks at higher decibel levels..blue and me and other features are quite handy. above all value for money spent. and ya need not say anything about d luks...it wud make u feel a proud owner, everyday when u get ready to drive it down to ur office.truly a fiat masterpiece...i wonder wid the new t-jet engine, any car in dis price segment would be able to even get closer to this masterpiece...admiration guaranteed...:)

The the type R. I was lucky enough to be given this car as a company car a year ago, when I took over the car it had 50,000 miles on the clock and was just 14months old.

Exterior
From the outside the car is visually impressive front rear and side skirts, 18" wheels and low profile tyres, oh yeah and a huge spoiler on the back more about that later. Plus discreet type r badging and the red Honda badge, which only comes on, type R?s. The real give away are the two shiny exhaust pipes sticking out the back, which does confuse people ?is this a v6 v8?? no it?s just a very powerful 4 cylinder. The headlights too hint at something more with the main lights being HID which give of a very c
lear blue white light (you?ll get used to people flashing)

Interior
The first thing that hits you is the Recaro seats they seem to fill the front because they are so high, but sit down and they hug you like they were made for you personally. Both seats have adjustable squabs which are great for tall drivers like me and give the additional leg support needed a real boon on long journeys. The driver?s seat also has adjustable lumbar support, which is the blow up type, a couple of squeezes on the bulb down the side of the seat, and your lower back is perfectly aligned. Luckily you don?t have to do this too much as it?s a little tight down the side of the seat.

The dash is simple and everything falls to hand, the heater controls are simple mine has the additional air-conditioning which helps, switchgear is a little flimsy feeling compared to the chunkiness of more modern cars but works just fine. The joy of the interior is the sports feel the steering wheel is MOMO and your hands fall naturally to the racing driver quarter past three position (don?t listen to your driving instructor) and it is perfectly sized, the doors are finished in good plastics with carbon fibre detail which continues throughout the car, and the gear kn
ob is fitted with a very pleasing aluminium gear knob.

The drive
Flick the key and the engine starts but surprisingly for a 212bhp car it is very quiet almost disappointingly so having driven a Subaru Impreza which gives a satisfying burble you get nothing, but the Japanese know that performance isn?t about standing still it?s about going.

From the off the car feels really tight but well behaved none of the jerkiness at low speed you usually associate with performance cars, in fact around town it could be the family runabout. The steering is easy, the clutch not too heavy and the engine not really pushing to do too much. This is the joy of VTech Honda?s whiz bang engine technology at low revs it uses less cam and fuel therefore making it very well behaved rev the car and all hell breaks loose. So, onto the open road push hard on the accelerator and the revs build really quickly towards 6000 rpm this is when most people start to change gear but oh no look closely at the rev counter and you will find the red line nuzzled up near 8000 revs. So hold it in gear and waaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaa he he he at 5500 revs the second stage of VTECH kicks in all cams lift the induction note changes and this thing flies. A friend of mine drove one of these for a week before realising this and came to me and said that he didn?t think it was that quick, one trip down a dual carriageway later holding the gears longer and he was hooked.
This car is a little addictive, when I first took my girlfriend out in it and showed her VTECH she then proceeded to try to drive everywhere at 6000+ revs everybody does even me. The handling is razor sharp and you have to be pushing really hard to get under steer in fact lift off in a bend and the back pleasantly steps out, but as I say you have to be pushing really hard (well by my standards anyway). The driving position is excellent and you feel part of the car with the recaro?s hugging you and the steering wheel firm i
n your hand, it really is one of the best driving saloon cars I?ve ever driven.

The practicalities of living with a type r
Fuel is the biggest issue as the car runs on 98+-octane fuel so you have to buy super unleaded or better still Shell Optimax (99 Octane). You can run on normal unleaded if stuck but be careful they have been known to pistons if you stick with the cheap stuff for too long. If you get too addicted to the VTECH you can expect to be visiting Mr Shell every 200 miles if you are steadier you will get around 340. Secondly oil with an engine running at this sort of power and revs these things use oil, they are meant to. Honda?s advice is that you should check the oil every time you fill up the reality is that it takes about a litre of oil (synthetic) every 1000 miles between services. Probably unsurprisingly tyres the fronts last about 12000 miles depending on how kind you are to them, and the rears about 24000. A set of four Bridgestone tyres will cost around which isn?t bad.

That spoiler
For the first 6 weeks I had an uneasy feeling that something was following me it is big. It makes it impossible to see what?s following at a distance, which the police like to do. On the plus side on the motorway at night it blocks out a lot of the glare from the headlights of the car behind.

The biggest bugbear is the ventilation system, even with fans on four and ac on it takes at least 10 minutes to clear the windscreen on a winter?s day. Turn the ac off and it will instantly fog up again. In the summer you have to have everything turned to maximum to get any sort of real cooling.

Servicing and repairs
Servicing is cheap for an interim and for a major service and the boys at Honda do a really good job. In it?s 96000 miles the only major bits we had done were a clutch at 92000 and a set of rear brakes discs apart from that just servicing.

And now the end is near the accord has now
done 96000 miles and is nearing the end of its life with us and still with that level of mileage there are no squeaks or rattles and the engine is still superb. Unfortunately Honda have brought out the new accord which although very polished just doesn?t have the grin inspiring fun of the type r. rumours are abound that they will bring one out but it seems unlikely. So, the next worthy successor to the crown is likely to be a seat Cupra R. let?s hope it?s good, as it has some really big shoes to fill.

Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Hi,
Finaly i bought this bike (black one). I decided to go for it because of milege & performance ( & in my collage,FZ & Pulsars are common). 325 kms done and i?m fully satisfied. Its a great bike. I feel that its a very good combination of sport+commuter.
Few things i have noted,
(1) The breaks are absolutley perfect and powerfull. (2) I don?t feel any vibs. till 50km/hr(my max. speed). (3) Gear shifting is very smooth and engine sounds very decent(i feel same as cbz x & hunk). (4) Pickup is exelent [in the video review which i saw of bloomberg/UTV, they calculated acceleration of dazzler (0-60 km/hr) that is 5.19 sec with stopping distance 17.3 meters in 2.13 sec(stopping time)
& pickup of YAMAHA FZ-S a was 5.59 sec(0-60) with 14.89 meters stopping distance in 1.77 sec.].
(5) Blue digi. console with analouge techometer looks realy good.
(6) I got milege of 61 km/liter in the condition between city & highway [by reducing unneccesary braking (not aiming for obtain more milege)]. (7)Chain sounds little while riding(i think same thing for other half chain case or open chain bikes). (8) little heating trouble in the morning,engine needs about 30 sec. warm-up.
I decided not to go for FZ-S because of (1) low fuel economy (around 40).(2) Dazzler comes with rear disk break & viscous paper filter (i.e. low maintenence cost) & MF battery. (3) I don?t like FZ?s rear tiny seat. (4) have to pay R.s.2k extra (for Fz-S) than dazzler (in vadodara). (5 ) As in a review,it is little difficult to read the digi. techo.(of FZ) in sunlight.
I also heard about new 2010 hunk with new features same as dazzler (except mono suspension). Its very interesting to see this bike. Existing one (hunk) is appx. 8- 10 kgs havy than the dazzler. For me, dazzler?s handling becomes exellent in the traffic due to reduced weight (138 kg) compared to unicorn?s 146 kg.
This is my own opinion based on experience & what i saw in other reviews.The only style and looks,for which the liking differs from person to person but for me it realy looks like dazzling unicorn.

Honda CB Twister

With tubeless tires probably the best deal in this segment.

Have little problem with shifting gears may be i am new to this type of gear system(1 down 3 up)

Mileage need to check but surely would be above 60 in high traffic.

This bike is real value for money.

I got it 54200 on road in pune with drum brakes.

At least better the Passion pro (52000) with tube leass tires and exta 1.5 bhp engine and more milage

I will update this comments after some days.
Also there is not any problem for ladies on back seat as it appears after seeing the seat

Royal Enfield Thunderbird Twinspark

First off this is my first review. Having decided on a bike mostly on the reviews given in this site i am happy to say that i?m 99% satisfied. I waited one whole year (365 days exactly!!) to bring you an year?s log of my thunderbird. No more intros

Overview: The bike is not just a motorbike but at par with the bull. Sound is lacking but with the production of standard stopped, no use crying over it.

Power: The power of the bike is really good, it doesn?t accelerate it lifts off! Looks like a lazy bull but is the first off any signal. The best thing is it can keep cruizing at 80+ for miles on miles.

Braking: Disc brake is good, but i have seen better on the apache
View next photo and karizma. Not the same breed agreed but the bull?s brakes do the job fine. Rear brake is hydraulic, but this is hard to believe coz its as efficient as disc brake is.

Handling: I learnt to ride on this byke so i can?t compare. But when you learn on this bull, fzs and karizmas are like toys when you handle them later. Quick manuver and feather touch turnings are completely out of the question, but if you want those why are you buying a bullet?

One thing i must mention here is that for most turnings the handle bar is less used. A slight shift of weight can turn this bull with ease at any speed above thirty. So day to day non die hard handling is a breeze.

Night rides: The bull has powerful head lamp which is pretty good for night journeys. But be warned, helmet is a must. I went out without one and now go out with fake front teeth :)

Long rides: My long rides end at 400kms. And the bike gave not even one hiccup at any point.

CONS: Had to have my spring clutch repaired. Don?t know why but kicker got stuck. Warranty covered it. Also self got fused. Had to be replaced. A side foot rest broke off but no warranty. Spent 350 rs on that. Just today had to go tighten my side stand and tommorrow to weld back a silencer which mysteriously broke at a joint! Be ready for a few trips to the workshop for sure.

But with that in mind i would say its a good buy. And if you are looking for a trouble free motorbike in all respects, go for avenger. Its a decent bike but no bull for sure.

For owners of new thunderbird or wannabes

First 500kms under 40km/hr please. RPM below 3. If possible 2. Kick start but use self as any complaints need be addressed before warranty goes bye bye. Don?t plate or teflon coat it. Regular washing oiling and waxing will keep it good for really long time. Ride hard!

Yamaha RX100

Hi Guys,

I got impressed with this bike from my childhood and i bought this on 2006 for Rs.14000 (1991 Model), also i spent Rs.10000 for modifications. I learned to drive the bike with RX100 and i love this bike.
Pickup is awesome, only drawback is the mileage in this bike, apart from that the sound will be too good if we drive it in a highway. Can anyone tell what needs to be done, if i need to drive this bike more than 100 Km speed. Does 5 Speed Gear helps?

If Yamaha company introduces the latest version of this bike with enhanced engine capacity of 150cc, none other bike can compete with engine performance.

Volkswagen Jetta

I am an unfortunate owner of a Jetta and its barely a year old and this amazing piece of German engineering could not handle a little rain water which my Honda and Santro could get through. The car got stuck in the rainwater which had risen upto a foot due to waterlogging and now as per the VW dealer this is not their problem and the cost of repairing is upto 2.5 lakhs. So, basically in Indian monsoons and with Delhi roads I can expect to spend this amount every year or keep my car under covers in the monsoons. My advice, dont touch this piece of sh** and go for a car which can handle Indian conditions and where the company cares about its customers after they have sold you their car. NEVER NEVER BUY A VW CAR.

1st Service – I got it done at 1050 KMs and I paid an amount of only Rs690 for my first service which was cost of oil change as Mauti provies 1st 3 services free of Labour cost. The next service is due at 5000 KMs.

My hunt for getting the “Value for Money Accessories” for my Ritz
Ritz Accessories – I wanted to have very comfortable and good looking seat covers for my Ritz, I tried the Maruti Dealership but it was too costly, they were asking Rs.4000 for the cotton seat cover having little foam cushion. Tried the local markets but did not like anything there. Then I contacted a friend of mine who has a shop in Kashmiri Gate. He suggested me to personally visit him so that I can choose and select according to my liking. I parked my Ritz at Kashmiri Gate Metro station and took a Rickshaw to go to his shop and then he took me to 2 Wholesaler shops where I did not like the seat covers. He then took me to another Wholesaler and it was a big shop having hundred’s of seat covers and he was also manufacturing them. I bought very beautiful and comfortable seat covers for Rs2500. I also bought a set of neck pillow, 2 pillows for rear, tissue paper keeper & a small teddy bear for 325 only which was a steal deal. I got car cover for 350 only. I also got the best floor mat which goes exactly with the grey Ritz for 550. Airtel tune music back horn, for 100 only. Already have the gear lock fitted from Maruti dealership.
Till now the car has done 4000 KMS and it includes a recent trip to Jaipur. I have returned yesterday after 2 days trip from Jaipur.
It’s for those who want to travel to Jaipur or want to know the Highway review then here is my experience if it can be of any help.
Tip :- The Traffic Police in Jaipur would stop you for anything like Pollution check, Seat Belts driving on high beam and specially when they know you don’t have RJ number. So make everything ready when you travel to Jaipur. We did not had pollution check done as it is a new car and since the car had done more than 1 month we have to do pollution check and we got it done at Jaipur and had to visit quite a few Petrol Pumps to find that they can do it for Diesel cars.
We started at 5:20 AM from Gurgaon there was little traffic, in the morning, it seems everyone has got the idea to travel early to beat the traffic. We crossed Manesar then Dharuherra and just before Behror got stuck in traffic for around 45 minutes as a truck had blocked 1 lane and only 1 lane was available to cross it. Anyways, we crossed it after spending 45 minutes in the traffic and it was already day at this point of time. After getting out from this traffic I found empty roads for making up the time. Most of the time I was driving at 100 to 120 KMS/hr comfortably. There was a Honda City which overtook us underestimating it to be a small car and that they can go faster. After some time I had reached near it and left it behind without the intention of racing. Even at this speed the car is stable and you would not realize if this is the speed on which you are travelling and the only way to make it out is to check the speedometer, at times my wife used to check the speedometer and ask me to slow down. The maximum speed I have been for some time was 125Kms/hr. (as wify was keeping an eye of the speedometerJ)
Here is another instance of a jealous Logan driver. The Logan was going on the right side of the road and so I overtook it from left but there was a slow truck in the front so I gave the signals to move to right to come to the same lane where Logan was travelling but he started honking even when there was sufficient space that I could come to right and overtake the truck. I didn’t have any intentions of racing with him either but wanted to reach Jaipur early to skip the morning traffic there. So I applied a little force on the accelerator and Logan was left far behind. We then stopped at Hotel Highway King which is a decent place for stopping while travelling to Jaipur; it comes at 160 KMS from Gurgaon. We had a good breakfast and it took us around 45 minutes to an hour. Ahhh, here comes Mr.Logan for breakfast (It seems that he came here for breakfast because this Hotel is the only decent place for stopover)
We reached Jaipur at 11 AM it took us around 4 hours of travel time to Jaipur. The roads were good with some pathes of new construction going on and at places there were 3 lanes.
Return Trip
After 2 days of stay we started our journey from Jaipur at 1 PM, the road was not as good as coming to Jaipur. The construction work is going on for 6 lane highway, they have made new roads at places which are little higher than the old roads and the joins are not smooth and you get a jerk if you don’t slow down. The road also has lot of patches and holes through out. At some point we came across Ford Fusion + and A Star and they both were moving at a good speed and I overtook both of them and seems that the person driving Ford Fusion did not like it so I gave him way and he was happy as he overtook me and after some time I got 3 lanes as they are making new roads and at places you would get 3 lanes, I easily left it far behind. After some time a Toyota Camry was Zooming next to me and it was gone in a couple of minutes even though when I was driving at 100-110 and it deserved also (my wife did not allow me to increase the speed and asked not to go above 110, so there was no chance to overtake it as it was going at above120). We stopped for lunch around 3 PM at Hotel Highway King which took us around 45 minutes of stop time.
Got stuck while entering at manesar and also at the Manesar Toll Plaza which took around 1 hr and we reached home at 6.30 PM.
After this trip I found that the Highway drive is very comfortable, overtaking is easy and would recommend it to anyone going for a new car. It is an incredible car.

I have very good place “ off road “ so take all the cars their after the ride in the Bangalore – Bombay highway, great place to test the metal and heart of the car .

whatever I can write is less for this beast .
this car passed all the road test that I could possible think in my dreams , I took this car on a heave rainy day and the off road was just “ PERFECT” did a mountain drive and it’s just felt great.
All the myth of not able to drive in city road was put aside, as I could feel that it could make it’s own ways and people respect it very much and clear the way .

Good space even at the last row, good Quality of practice all leather seats make you feel happy inside the car , GPS , touch screen music systems all the good D well in place

Only point of concern is the price L

those who are going for a new unisex scooter , wego has it all! mileage,efficiency, looks are comparable to activa. i own one and i really enjoy the ride. its really smooth on the city road. gives avg of 45 km/lt mileage. its only 3 mths old now lets wait and watch if it keeps up its promises in the time to come. but when u look at the long waiting period for honda products in the city(4 mts!!!) and bad hospitality by honda sales person wego is a best option..full paisa wasool :-) costs 45k

I own a Honda CB Unicorn. Brought this bike on the third week of April 2010. I have driven 3900 Kms as on date and had 2 free services availed.

I had earlier experience with the HH Splendor, Bajaj Discover and the Honda Shine. But having in mind the power for a good pick up and the mileage in city limits, I preferred to go for a 150 CC bike. I too was crazy about the looks of the cutting edge stylish (silver colored was my favorite) Pulsar! Then I got a chance to test ride a new CBZ extreme and his friend?s Unicorn during a short trip to a place around 70 kms away from Chennai. The pickup and controls at high speed of the CBZ extreme was pretty convincing and made my mind to consider CBZ extreme. On the return journey I drove the Unicorn. That time I had really experienced the Honda smoothness and its characteristics overtake the other two bikes in my personal rating. I read all the reviews in the website about this bike and all reviews by the owners were convincing. It was the time I made up my mind to go with Unicorn.

I received my Silver CBUnicorn in within 16 days from the date of booking. Driving the CB unicorn or being a pillion rider is sure a smooth and a proud experience. My bike gave around 65 Kmpl on an average before the first service. The ride at 45 – 50 kmph will be silky smooth. I have driven this bike in the highways for around 450 Kms (with short breaks at regular interval) at a constant speed of 70 Kmph with a pillion rider and at around 75 - 80 kmph during return journey and the performance was really awesome. We do feel a kind of jarring in the handle bars in the 55 - 65 Kmph speed after which the bike again runs at an absolute ZERO VIBRATION, like gliding in the air! And at the same time the road grip offered by the brakes and bike weight is excellent. No worry of skidding even while braking from a speed of 75 Kmph to 25 kmph within 4 - 6 seconds with a pillion rider!

The mileage in the highways was at an average 60 Kmpl. In the city road conditions, it depends on how much you drive your vehicle in heavy traffic conditions. My bike gives around 55- 60 kmpl while driving in the Anna Salai from Tambaram to Parry’s corner in weekdays at an average speed of 50 Kmph. Some of my friends ridiculed me saying for this speed, even a 100 cc bike will fare well. But I had shown them what a Unicorn means! (One of those friends who was a massive 98Kg guy was the pillion rider that time and my bike showed the real power by Vrooooming past the signal leaving aside all other equal powered bikes…The power is at par with the most powerful bikes I believe. The same guy who was the pillion rider has booked a Black cb Unicorn recently!)

CB Unicorn doesn’t come equipped with all features better than the other counterparts. The Headlamps dims considerably at low speed. This is a problem for those who ride in lone areas and very bad roads because they will find difficult to ride in low light. I too had a bad experience when I had to drive in the manali – rettery road. Here we can’t drive the vehicle above 15 Kmph as the road is filled with pot holes and heavy lorry traffic. The travel became worse with poor illumination.

The Horn is another sub-standard outsource by the Honda. When I park my bike, I take great care in handling it, as the fiber / plastic parts of the bike is prone to breakage even by the slightest hits in the wall or by the adjacent vehicle. Honda has used cheap parts for reducing weight of the bike and increase their profit, I think. Even the accessories that the dealer provides are sub-standard!
I usually drive within 60Kmph and in due course of time the jarring effect has reduced much. I often make short trips with my friends in the weekends and I had made 2 trips to Pondicherry. My CB Unicorn is giving constant mileage of 60 Kmpl in the Highways and around 55 - 58 Kmpl in the city limits.

Some pros and cons of the bike:
Pros:
1.     Riding Comfort (like a cruiser bike)
2.     Easy control (though its quite a big and heavy bike)
3.     Mileage (the best in its class)
4.     Engine smoothness (real silky smooth)
5.     Decent power and pickup (at par with the Pulsar and CBZ extreme)
Cons:
1.     Headlamp & Horn (not powerful as the other competitors are providing)
2.     Sub-standard body parts (low quality fiber / plastic covers)
3.     Jarring of the handle bars at the speed range of 55 – 65 kmph speed range.

If you are a family man who is too particular of the economy, mileage, safety and smoothness, then go for this family bike…

Some more tips i would like to give to all, irrespective of the make...
1. I would personally recommend not to drive this vehicle beyond 60 Kmph. (yea, it can be driven at a higher speeds in a good and free expressway).
2. Shift to higher gears after 3500 rpm in the present gear.
3. Don’t let anyone else drive your vehicle. (I find most others drive at the 4th gear without shifting for the 5th gear. Its a common mistake any one who has previous experience in >150cc bikes makes).
4. Dont inflate your tyres, particularly the rear one. maintain 35psi (25psi in the front) when you are riding single. if there is a pillion rider, fill more, say 37psi.
5. Use only unleaded Indian oil petrol (this is not for advertising, but from my personal experience) and avoid branded fuel.
6. Pls understand its a machine that depends on the way you handle it. Love your bike and take personal care. Drive it with a passion.
I assure your bike will give a considerably good mileage. Then you will see what a wonderful machine it is!

Several cars catching fire doesn?t speak volumes of the quality. But that is not the only issue.

Let me start with the looks - It looks horrible inside out. There are no two ways about it. The engine is mounted at the rear and one has to open the bonnet for refuelling. The rear hatch cannot be opened and there is almost no space to keep anything if the rear seats are occupied. No, you can?t go for shopping with it along with your wife and two kids.

Next, the price - it isn?t as cheap as the Tatas would make us to believe. The fully loaded version (with front power windows and air-con) comes to about Rs. 2.25 lakhs on road. You have to chip in some more money for the bare essentials like the floor mats, an entry level music system etc.I don?t know what air-con it will provide for without it, the car struggles to notch 80 kmph with four adults. There are no power-steering versions.

As you go to pick up your Nano, you won?t get that proud feel of a car-owner. Everyone knows that you are the poorest car buyer and naturally the showroom sales person would choose to devote more time to a customer who has come to enquire about a Indigo Manza than a person who has already paid for his Nano.

The car is nothing better than an auto-rickshaw. The fuel tank has a capacity of only 15 litres and the ride is bouncy and uncomfortable. The service personnel will tell you not to drive more than 50 km at a stretch. The engine is sure to heat up in a city stop and go traffic for it is only air-cooled. The engine makes a horrible noise too. Never even think of a long drive on a highway.

About the little pluses - it has a ?tall-boy? design and so getting in and out is a breeze. The doors open wide and that?s good for the senior citizens. Fuel efficiency is about 18-20 km/litre and that?s not bad.

But all said and done, avoid the Nano, spend a little more money and go for the time tested Alto. You will have peace of mind as well as the satisfaction of owning a good car.

I do agree with you. I remember I had a damaged Petrol tank of xeta. The quotation given to me was three time what it was available from genuine TATA motors spare parts dealer.
I was asked to leave my car at their workshop and it remained unattended for almost a week. They gave sily reason that they are waiting for courier from Pune.
Finally I picked up my car and got it repaired using my self contacts in TATA motors Pune.
The petrol tank of Xeta was quoted 11,000/- + Taxes and 2500/- as fitting charges which I got home delivered from TATA for Rs 3500/- I got it fitted by my mechanic for Rs 200/-
The dealer is least bothered about customer service.

1st Service – I got it done at 1050 KMs and I paid an amount of only Rs690 for my first service which was cost of oil change as Mauti provies 1st 3 services free of Labour cost. The next service is due at 5000 KMs.
My hunt for getting the “Value for Money Accessories” for my Ritz
Ritz Accessories – I wanted to have very comfortable and good looking seat covers for my Ritz, I tried the Maruti Dealership but it was too costly, they were asking Rs.4000 for the cotton seat cover having little foam cushion. Tried the local markets but did not like anything there. Then I contacted a friend of mine who has a shop in Kashmiri Gate. He suggested me to personally visit him so that I can choose and select according to my liking. I parked my Ritz at Kashmiri Gate Metro station and took a Rickshaw to go to his shop and then he took me to 2 Wholesaler shops where I did not like the seat covers. He then took me to another Wholesaler and it was a big shop having hundred’s of seat covers and he was also manufacturing them. I bought very beautiful and comfortable seat covers for Rs2500. I also bought a set of neck pillow, 2 pillows for rear, tissue paper keeper & a small teddy bear for 325 only which was a steal deal. I got car cover for 350 only. I also got the best floor mat which goes exactly with the grey Ritz for 550. Airtel tune music back horn, for 100 only. Already have the gear lock fitted from Maruti dealership.
Till now the car has done 4000 KMS and it includes a recent trip to Jaipur. I have returned yesterday after 2 days trip from Jaipur.
It’s for those who want to travel to Jaipur or want to know the Highway review then here is my experience if it can be of any help.
Tip :- The Traffic Police in Jaipur would stop you for anything like Pollution check, Seat Belts driving on high beam and specially when they know you don’t have RJ number. So make everything ready when you travel to Jaipur. We did not had pollution check done as it is a new car and since the car had done more than 1 month we have to do pollution check and we got it done at Jaipur and had to visit quite a few Petrol Pumps to find that they can do it for Diesel cars.
We started at 5:20 AM from Gurgaon there was little traffic, in the morning, it seems everyone has got the idea to travel early to beat the traffic. We crossed Manesar then Dharuherra and just before Behror got stuck in traffic for around 45 minutes as a truck had blocked 1 lane and only 1 lane was available to cross it. Anyways, we crossed it after spending 45 minutes in the traffic and it was already day at this point of time. After getting out from this traffic I found empty roads for making up the time. Most of the time I was driving at 100 to 120 KMS/hr comfortably. There was a Honda City which overtook us underestimating it to be a small car and that they can go faster. After some time I had reached near it and left it behind without the intention of racing. Even at this speed the car is stable and you would not realize if this is the speed on which you are travelling and the only way to make it out is to check the speedometer, at times my wife used to check the speedometer and ask me to slow down. The maximum speed I have been for some time was 125Kms/hr. (as wify was keeping an eye of the speedometerJ)
Here is another instance of a jealous Logan driver. After some time a Toyota Camry was Zooming next to me and it was gone in a couple of minutes even though when I was driving at 100-110 and it deserved also (my wife did not allow me to increase the speed and asked not to go above 110, so there was no chance to overtake it as it was going at above120). We stopped for lunch around 3 PM at Hotel Highway King which took us around 45 minutes of stop time.
Got stuck while entering at manesar and also at the Manesar Toll Plaza which took around 1 hr and we reached home at 6.30 PM.
After this trip I found that the Highway drive is very comfortable, overtaking is easy and would recommend it to anyone going for a new car. It is an incredible car.

Have been owner of Indica Xeta ( Petrol) Since 2006. The car has powerful engine of 1465 CC. AC is powerful and Car is spacious and has wonderful road grip at higher speeds.
The car has MPFI system and the engine sensors have access to computer console ( a connector) below drivers next seat. The car " tells" its performance through a scanning software.
The drawback : Donot try to fit a CNG/LPG kit from external agency. There are no sensor system for non compnay fitted gas kit , sensors are bye passed by the Gas fitters, and there starts the trouble to the HEART of the car ( Microprocessor console) . The sensor starts malfunction or the console is burnt due to reverse currents coming to the controller , spoiling the milage on Gas or Petrol. Finally replacement of console for Rs 15,000/-.
If company offer gas fitted car check out with them whether the Gas sensor are there in the engine. or else go ahead with Pure Petrol version.
Pick on Petrol is amazing. Cooling is within 2-6 minutes on full load. The back seats are foldable in pair of 1:2.
Over all comaprion with equivalent cars " A Car for rough and tough people ".
External looks are like a wild. Internals semi luxury feeling.

Krishna Leela followed by Jataka Tales and Geeta were my first Amar Chitra Katha through which I was introduced to the world of books and reading. I read Krishna Leela when I was just 5 years old and started understanding books. These books resulted in the fertile thought process and admiration of the cultural richness of our country. Though these are comics but through very beautiful illustrations and apt dialogues, they sketch the compelete tale that takes you into its own world.

Uncle Pie is the best story teller we ever had. His books are not read just by the kids but by the people of every age group. Amar Chitra Katha was incepted to bring the Indians close to their culture. It surely succeeded in doing so but yet there seems to be few things that the Publication should look into. Many of the series is available just in English while the national language is Hindi. Mahabharat Set is available just in English. The Hindi Mahabharat set is available but in two parts each costing round about 2000 Rs. The single English Set is available for 1100 Rs. only. I wanted to gift these books to one of my uncles who was not very comfortable reading English but I couldnt find the same even at the Chaupati.com, their marketting website. It seems discriminating. Several other volumes like Tinkle Digest etc is also available just in English. It is not like we don’t like reading English tales but our culture should also be available in the languages of our country in the same rates as the English ones.

In The present day scenario cinema has become very important means of Communication through out the world There lot of film festivals across the globe.Cinemas in these days are becoming more of realty information givers for millions of citizens living across the globe. Not only important things which are beneficial to people are live telecasted whre as adverse effects are also side by side are shown in todays cinemas. In ancient times there were having lot of emotions melody and drama were deployed but if we compare to those days present cinemas contain lot of Bloodshed, vugarity and meaningless exposure.

From my point of view even the young generation are getting disturbed with present days cinemas.

todays cinemas and played in very big multiplex cinema halls where a normal man with very little income who earns very little for his family may not be in a position to afford to take his wife and children to These big big cinema Halls.

Now a days TV9 has become one of worst visual media by supporting and making statements loyal to TRS and KCR. Now they are no more a media for people, They are not going to stand for the people and nor for the country. They just need money that is it. My suggestion is try to change your moto.In INDIA and in A.P we have more number of problems than TELANGANA issue, widen up your eyes look around, use your resources for needy people, then definitely you will re gain your reputation and your name.Only the long lasting name reflects our brand name and our reputation. i know you guys good at business now change it to service. Anglo-Saxon debate about the "author’s rights" for liberty and democracy

There’s a rather small group of directors, capable of making
historical movies. And it is Ridley Scott, – who created
"Gladiator", "Kingdom, of Heaven" and "Robin Hood" – who leads this
group. It is exactly the "Gladiator" that is considered
to be the movie that brought the sympathies of the mass audience
to the historical movie genre – the one that lost it since the
times of "Ben-Hur" and "Cleopatra". Not the least of the factors
is that in the 80s Ridley Scott with

quadrilogy also headed the group of directors who were the best
at shooting the films about the future. There’s no contradiction
here. In order to understand humanity we have to look where
we are going to at first, and then – where have
we come from.

Such leaps from one epoch to another cannot go without a trace
for an honest artist. Future is getting to be known with
our mind, while the past – with our emotions. Ridley Scott managed
to succeed at both fields. It happened due to a rather
simple artistic trick he used to apply in all the cases.
In fact, main hero of all of his films is the contemporary
of ours – who, in an unknown way, fetched himself
in the other period of time and discovers the events that take place
around him. He shows the typical reactions of the white Anglo-Saxon
man from the 90s. His position is strictly democratic and anti-clerical.
He doesn’t understand the matters of nobility and sanctity, having
preferred to cast them away in disgust.

At the "Kingdom of Heaven" he spends a night
at Golgotha Hill and in the morning he throws his cross away.
In "Robin Hood" he refuses to accept the accidentally obtained
title and becomes Robin Longstride again, having – we need
to add this – terribly crossed up those surrounding him. Final
scenes of these movies are quite symptomatic. Having succeeded
at their deeds and having, without doubt, influenced the history, heroes
suddenly vanish in the fog of an absolute resignation. Gladiator
may have tried to become a Roman emperor. Baron of Ibelin, last
protector of Jerusalem could have become a living legend of the
Crusades era. Sir Robert Loxley, having rebuffed the French invasion
of England, could have acquired the marshal’s baton. Instead of that
we see the escape from the history, constraining the field
of activity with the village smithery or the clearing in the
woods.

Magna Carta

Main theme of the "Robin Hood" movie is concentrated around the
event of no small importance for the English history – signing
of the Great Charter or Magna Carta by the King John. This
document limited the king’s power over his vassals. In order
to understand its significance we should know that the British
Empire, state with the ancient democratic traditions, has
no constitution
at all. That’s why recent words of a certain Russian liberal
functionary, stating that in England the elections take place according
to the constitution, were met with a sincere good-natured laughter.
Indeed, what does the man who invented the automobile might need the
instruction for? Leave these manuals to those who are willing to use
this car.

Americans, being very proud of their constitution, at the same time
sub-consciously feel the slightest nuance like this one. It may not
be perceivable by the common citizens, but for the "uncommon ones"
its significance is clear to its full extent. That’s why any attempts
to write a new contemporary constitution are blocked in the
USA – having confined the society with the amendments. There is its
own reasoning here. The time makes the text sacral and transfers it into
the completely different category. It turned out, though, that the
contemporary USA is deprived of this very time.

Group of documents, which – at a stretch – may
be referred to the principal laws of Great Britain, originates
from the very Magna Carta. It has nothing revolutionary in it,
though. From the legal point of view, the much-talked-about "Yaroslav’s
Justice" which was in use in Russia for a long time then, was
more "advanced" document of its period. English Magna Carta, however,
became the sacred myth and the "foundation stone of liberty", whatever
that word may mean. "Robin Hood" directed by Ridley Scott is the
first – may it be the probing one – attempt to work
with that myth. As we’ve mentioned – the time presses.

In Ridley Scott’s vision, Magna Carta is a document, the text,
first of all. It is not a half-verbal agreement, based
on traditions and representing the result of the years-long
negotiations and mutual give-and-takes by the nobility and king himself.
This is rather a text, written without any participation
of these persons – by a simple mason, father of Robin
Hood and a leader of the common folk. All the barons and the king
have to do is to sign this text and go home. History
turns into the theory of conspiracy.

It won’t be hard to recognize the unique style of late
Ridley Scott, as well as the reasons why did the master of the
films about future turn into the master of the films about the past. Lie
about future is much more probable to be revealed. Truth about
future says too much about the present. If Martin Luther has got
acquainted with Margot Käßmann, head of German Lutheran Church
in 2010, and heard her fierce debates concerning the rights
of homosexuals and the contraceptives as the Gift of God,
95 theses would have hardly been nailed to the church gates
in Wittenberg. So just the same, the man who thoroughly watched the
"Blade-runner" should have few illusions considering the direction the
American
democracy is moving in. Nowadays, however, Ridley Scott
is remaking the "Blade-runner". I guess, quite a number curios
inventions are waiting for us.

(Updated Jul 14, 2010 09:11 AM) Once I had gone out with my uncle for a stroll on a Saturday. He is one of the busiest souls on earth. He was constantly on a look out for Indrajal comics with the footpath book vendors. I asked him, "You dont have time for yourself. Why are you even looking at books?" He replied, "We all have time for what we like." Hmm, point taken. I asked, "But why that comic? You can buy something else if that is not available." He replied, "No, I find my childhood in them." I just couldnt fathom this till I thought of Tinkle. I remembered that I too visit my raddhi waala once a while to pick up a handful of Tinkle digests, and settle for no other comic than this one. Yup, you can actually buy them there for Rs 10 each and the ignorant treasurer will merrily give you a hefty discount if you buy many!! Hell be more than happy to sell off his flooding raddhi. (I guess Im the insane person in his eyes!) Ok, for those who dont know, latest issue of Tinkle digest will cost around Rs50 per copy.

Tinkle and its features-
It is a fortnightly magazine that has comic stories, puzzles, information and much more. It was first launched in April 1980. Stories from a few Tinkle issues are put together and form the Tinkle Digest, which is a better deal since it has around 100 pages. It is justified as a lightest read since in fiction books, the brain has the task of imagining the characters in their appearances and actions. Here, we have these along with the expressions of each character showing the inner feelings in each phase of the story depicted vividly in pictures. This makes it a treat to the eyes and relaxation for the brain!

Jokes-
The innocent jokes which make you laugh are because of-

Suppandi- He came in as one of the very first characters in Tinkle and is a huge hit. He is the stupid servant, who has a different master in each joke. I guess thats because each master fires him in the end. The Suppandi jokes are mostly a page long. His lean body with an elongated head, chin and nose is enough to make you laugh.

Naseerudin Hodga - The middle-aged quick witted, clever fellow.
Friend- How old are you, Hodga?
Hodga- Im 40.
Friend: What? Some years back, when I asked you, you had the same answer!
Hodga- I stand by what I say.

Anwar- The little school boy reminds me of Swami in Malgudi days. His jokes are usually shorter, a strip of 3 pictures.
Anwar once visits his friend Pankajs place who has a huge dog at his home.
Pankaj- Come in, Anwar. Dont worry, my dog wont bite you.
Anwar- But hes growling and barking at me.
Pankaj- See, he s wagging his tail, he likes you.
Anwar- So, which end am I to trust?

See and Smile-The single picture jokes with no explanations required, you cant help smiling when you see them.

Stories-
Tinkle concentrates mainly on folk tales from different parts of India. Apart from these, a few regular stories are those of-

Tantri the Mantri- He is the scrawny minister of plump Raja Hooja. Tantri keeps dreaming of taking Hoojas place on the throne and plots to kill him. However, the poor thing always falls into the pit that he has dug for Hooja.

Shikaari Shambu- He is the popular hunter wearing a khakhi shirt and half pants along with an over-sized hat. :P He is known to have a lions strength and courage, but in reality is scared of even a mouse. "Did you know?"and "Tinkle tells you why" are 2 sections where we get to read things long forgotten after school. Its fun to read them when you know that you wont be having exams asking these questions!

Beware of India Today Book (Cheaters) Club.

My membership ID with India Today Book Club is ITBC08774081. I had placed an order (TELESALES/0GA090014244) worth Rs.1897/- for Reebok kit (shirt, watch, belts etc.) on 06-March-09. When the ordered items were not delivered after more than 4 months of order, I requested to cancel my order and refund the payment. I have been following up over phone and emails for last 12+ months, but ITBC team is unable to process my refund till today. What should it be called “fraud”, “failure of a REPUTED company in online business”, "shame", or what? Is there any chance to get my hard-earned money back?

I have provided them all the proofs (CC statements, Order confirmation emails etc) many times and also send letters in writing to their Noida and Delhi offices by Speed Post, but no replies. They do not care for the customers once they got the payment.

They have started a new company BagItToday to make more money by cheating people.

(Updated Jul 30, 2010 12:04 PM) Im a subscriber of "Sananda" magazine for the last 3 years. Actually the subscription is in my name, but it is meant for my wife.
Ill not discuss on the contents of the magazine, since my wife requests for a renewal every year I trust that the content is worth it. Though she does mention that it is now not of the quality with which it started off, and off course there are too many advertisements.

What Im concerned about is the way they treat subscribers to the magazine. I can compare, because I also subscribe to certain other magazines like Digit, AV Max, Electronics for You, PC Quest. All the magazines are from different publication houses and I have been faithfully receiving every issue on time every month. I receive the magazines by the 2nd of every month.
Whereas, In the last 3 years Im yet to receive a single issue of Sananda on time. I receive them usually 10~11 days after the published date. At times I have not received them at all. In those cases, I cant go and buy from the stands, as I have waited 15 days already & they are sold out.

I have complained over & over again to the subscription department of Sananda, both in Kolkata & New Delhi and have been politely told that Well look into it & this will not happen again. Unfortunately, a lost subscription remains lost & the delayed delivery continues.
Theres nobody to hear complaints of subscribers or to look into delays or missing issues.
Hence, read the magazine, but buy it from the stands.

This is an update posted on the 12th of July 2010.
Called up the ABP New delhi Office & talked to the official concerned for subscriptions & he told me that there has been a problem with the delivery boy, and assured me that HELL LOOK INTO IT AND THAT THE DELIVERY WILL BE DONE IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

This is an update posted on the 16th of July 2010.
Sananda is a bi-monthly magazine, which means that another fresh issue has been released yesterday the 15th of the month.
I have been following up with Mr. Subhas Biswas of ABP, the official in charge of subscriptions, New Delhi Office over phone for the last one week now.
Everytime, he acknowledges there has been a problem and hell LOOK INTO IT. I really dont know how far & wide he has looked so far, but the end result is that I have not received the older subscription still, the new one will be in the stands today, latest tomorrow morning.

Update posted on the 26th of July 2010.
Last week, I finally received the 30th June issue which was couriered by Mr. Biswas from the Delhi office. A couple of days after that 2 courier guys came to my residence to deliver the same issue. I found the issue to be used & torn, but on their repeated request I accepted the issue & signed the acceptance slip. My mistake, I didnt put down the date.
Today I called up Mr. Biswas to follow up for the delivery of the July 15th issue and he tells me that he has a receipt of the 30th June delivery dated the 8th of July. Smart! isnt that?
Thankfully, I used a Cross black-ink pen to sign the receipt, and Im sure no courier boy carries a similar pen. So, upon cross questioning, Mr. Biswas admits that the signature & mobile no. is done with a different ink & the date is done with a blue ball pen! So much for the SUBSCRIPTION OFFICER.
Now, Im currently following up for delivery of the 15th July issue.

Update posted on the 30th of July 2010.
Have written to the person who is in charge of subscriptions in their HO Kolkata, Ms. Rupa Chatterjee, on the 26th. Till date there is neither an acknowledgment of the mail or a reply.
Have followed up with Ms. Subhash twice in the last 4 days & one again today morning. All three times he has promised to look into the matter and that the magazine shall soon be delivered. A fresh new issue is going to be released today. Im still waiting for the issue released on the 15th of this month! Today Im writing to the editor.
